I keep checking this thread hoping to find A NEW VIDEO hehehe.
perferably one with it in the air.

keep up the good work bud and keep us all up to speed.

Josh this brand of prop will probably turn 4500rpm but another brand of the same size may turn 5000, I have seen it happen, we will find out soon, the One that pulls better is the best One
and the video is coming soon.

yea...how the heck did you get it done so fast? dont you work or have a family or anything?

or did your wife kick you out of bed and you were forced to sleep in the garage so you just figured you'd work on the 60%?

so snap, are you planning on an onboard starting motor, or are you going to go old school for the first little while? im guesssing it all depends on weight, and or if its really necessary.

Re: 60% BH EXTRA, HOW BIG IS TOO BIG ?

Josh,
I ran 4 of these 342's with a 40 X 11 tennesse wood prop and they turned pretty much the same rpm (4500 - 4600).
I told Elie I think it would be better if we were turning closer to 5000 rpm and suggested trying the 38 X 13 tennesse prop. Hopefully we will find out this weekend. Our 2 60% 260's and 60% cub should be done next weekend. I am waiting on a couple of custom made engine mounts for the 260's and then it is just little things left to do. It has taken longer than I thought (about 15 hours a day for the past 3 weeks) but I was not in no hurry because I had sold my trailer and did'nt have a way to haul them. I pick up the new 40 foot trailer tomarrow so I will be busting a** to get them done and flown before the Dallas event.
I will posting some pictures as soon as I get them done and out of my basement.
Thanks,
John Light
