Cool project Makes me wish I would have kept the old Gee Bee I acquired and was planning on refurbishing it, but too many projects and not enough time.

Very cool thread. Definitely watching the progress. I hope you can take the gentleman to the field and show him what you have done with his/your plane.

Well it has been a long time. Lots going on at home with two weddings and two grand babies but i have found time again to get back to building. picture coming soon.

At first i was not sure if he was going to approve of this new direction. To my surprise when i showed him pictures of what i wanted to do he got excited (see link). If you do a search on military Gee Bee a fighter version shows up. goggle it and look at images and you will find it. Very interesting how it came to be. Long story short i am sort of copying what they did.
