That's marked down,I guess intro or sale price, normally $839.99,a 30cc for more than most 50cc's.I guess it's being built here instead of China.

Really like this plane. HH does it again. Looking for my first gasser and I've had a 71" AJ slick and a AW 78" 260 extra that I built but never flew. My thinking is I need a first gasser. Is this the one for should I forget the 33cc size plane and just go to a 50cc? I can fly and fly well. Just looking at the size vs time with the size. I'm thinking if I can do a 50cc rather than a 33c I should just go 50cc. This is a question that keeps going through my mind. My local air field is only 11min. from my house so time to the field is not an issue. I know bigger is better and I've been waiting on the EF 91" Yak54 which will be available early next month. Any thoughts? I appreciate it! in the back of my head I say wait for the 91" Yak. looking for any advice from someone that's been down this road! Thanks!

500+ for a 30cc wood is going to be a hard sell...

Street. Remember, Horizon has to allow room for hobby shops to make money as well. If they were consumer direct like virtually every other vendor for this type of airplane, you would be looking at a similar price. Figure that there are many avenues (large hobby shop network, versus one internet dealer typically for similar aircraft) by which to get this airplane (walking out of it from your LHS instead of paying to have it shipped; and how much is shipping for a 30cc airframe?). You also have a detailed instruction manual and world-class support and parts availability to match. You're paying a little extra but getting a whole lot in return. Actually, once you factor in shipping for an airplane that size, you're getting pretty close to it being a wash.

Having known Quique from day one (literally, he was the first person I met in the hobby my first day out at the field learning how to fly), I may be a little biased, but I think this airplane will do very well. The design and engineering are first-class and the airplane flies incredibly well.
