After a hurried day of travel I arrived at the ETOC gym in time to get 4 practice flights in - 2 Sequence, 2 Freestyle. They were a little bit rough, but I felt they got better each time I got to fly. just like last year the ETOC gym was a little bit overwhelming for me to adjust to at first. Actually my last practice flight of freestyle was coming along nicely considering I was flying under half lights. I manage to get the last practice flight as the lights were cut and we were ushered out.

I witnessed some very good flying today and I predict this is going to be a very tough contest. tomorrow's show is going to be very exciting!

I had an excellent time having dinner and listening to stories out with some of the group at BW3's. now back at the hotel charging batteries. it is off to the Weak Signals Expo tomorrow morning!

But as expected yesterday went by very very quickly. I will try to re-cap yesterday's events and catch up to real time.

the day started with a trip the Weak Signals Show. it is always great to meet up with old friends at this event. I don't think I made an entire lap by the time we had to leave to report to the ETOC gym for practice.

after the event had began I did not spend too much time taking pictures. once the contest rounds start it moves along at a fairly rapid pace, along with trying to concentrate on your flying and get the most out of each round



I did have time to meet with a few old friends in the crowd while I was waiting my turn between rounds

I spent most of the contest trying to hold on to that precious 7th place and a guarunteed spot for Saturday.....




but the competition at this event is so high and the level of talent is amazing! I ultimately ended up placing in 10th on Friday, but I am pleased with my effort and feel privledged to be included in a very prestigious group or pilots.

Today was back to the Weak Signals Show. Today I had more time to find friends and check out the show
