I said it last year and I say it again, 2013 will bring to the hobby more angry wives and girlfriends.

It would be a blast if someone offered a line of truly 3Dable Warbirds. It would be pretty dang cool to have a plane to go to some of the warbird events with...fly in circles for awhile with the warbird guys... then suddenly pop it into a hover and torque roll right on the deck!!! I think the Warbird guys would really get exited about that!

It might seem that way at your traditional flying field with 5 flight stations and the same group of guys flying their same old planes, but that's not where I see the real innovation. It's at the parks and school yards. These, mostly younger, guys don't want or need all the politics and rules of a traditional club. They fly, and drive, anything you can get with a credit card, and if its molded of foam from China that's just fine. They mix and match technologies without fear. Their laptop and smart phones are a part of the hobby, just like their transmitter, and some of them write code and layout printed circuit boards. Some use CAD, and some even productize their stuff through China. They aren't waiting for a turnkey solution. They are hacking it out of a game controller, or security camera, etc. All this happens on the cheap because they are leveraging....everything. Innovation is alive and well, just not in the direction you might have expected.

I'd love to see the value of the American dollar go way up, then maybe I could afford another Krill model!

Less money in the bank and more debt, the circle never ends.

That would be cool... Heck, I would just settle for an entire fleet of 100cc warbirds that have been designed within this decade.....

You could help it by buying american made goods instead of china stuff. must be plenty of american made rc products out there like kits, no one builds kits anymore. havent seen many build threads on here, couple but not many
