I had to build mine bone stock, the rubber bands lasted the first day of testing w/o any issue. I dont notice any excessive flex, if anything, they are extremely stiff.

Mine is enroute from Chief........... OH YEAH !!!!

Great pictures! How big of an effect did the flaps have?

Pretty big....with full flaps, before I setup mixing, you needed about half down elevator to keep the thing from doing a loop.

So, I changed the 16" evolution plastic prop they sent me for an 18x6 wide carbon from Falcon.

I suspected the 16x8 was under propping that engine but I let it go for a gallon. The Falcon made a big difference, much smoohter power transition and the wide has a lot of pull.

The 18X6 will give better pull off the water.

Thanks! I just pulled the back seat and stuck a Go-Pro in there taking a picture every 5 seconds. Of course I deleted 300 of them but got those 2 lol.
