receiver mounting on eq6

hi all.i just purchased a plane with a smartfly eq6 setup with optical ignition kill .this is my first setup with a gasser.i ,ve owned two other gassers also.my question is i have my receiver mounted with velcro strips on the eq6 board.my receiver is a spektrum ar 9000 2.4 gig.my way of thinking is on planes without powersystems ,you would normaly wrap your reciever in foam.but with the eq6 is it alright to mount the receiver to the board without foam.i,m concerned about vibs running through the airframe and possibly damaging my eq setup or worse causing inflight failure.any info is appreciated.thankx.marc.

They are usually shipped with a 3M product that is very strong, looks like plastic velcro. For the life of me I can't find it on the web, but it's all you need. As long as the Smart Fly unit is mounted as recommended by the manufacturere, you're good to go.

Found the pic. It's called Dual Lock. The clear version is what you usually see.

call quest engineering (smart-fly) and buy the plastic raised bracket for your rx. then use the velcro piece in pic in above post and attatch it to the eq6. then attatch the rx to the bracket with the same type velcro. this raises the rx up and away from all of the wires and makes it easier to get to.... the brackets are only $4!!!!!!! i have added them to all of my giants!

pm me for anymore questions as i only fly smart fly systems and have tried many configurations..

matt
