How often do you change your CM6 spark plug?

For DA and 3W users, what is the frequency you change your CM6 plugs?

25 to 30 thousand miles, your mileage may vary. hahah

If it is fouled, it can be cleaned.
As far as replacing once a year, your choice, but as little as we use them they rarely go bad...

They do fail occasionally, just generally not in a dramatic way. I've recently noticed that my engine wasn't pulling as hard as it normally does, it was maybe only making about half power. Pulled out the plugs and noticed that one of them had discolored up on the ceramic part, almost as if oil was getting through there. Put a new set in, and the engine is good as new.

I asked Brian Heuffmeier how often to change them and he said that to be honest he never really changes them...I'm sure it won't hurt anything to do it though....

How does the Champion Y82 compare with the NGK CM6? The Y82 is about twice the price though

Hi Jack. It was nice to meet and visit with you up in Yukon last weekend. You didn't return on Sunday - I hope you didn't get to hot on Saturday 'cause it WAS rather warm!! I found out how hot it was on the way back. Just after we turned onto I35 my A/C went out! I had to drive all the way back to Vicksburg with no A/C! It reminded me of when I was little and we drove up from Lindsay, OK to OKC in a '54 Chevrolet sedan - boy was it hot!! That was why I loved Flagstaff, AZ - up in the tall cool mountains at 7000 ft elevation. Anyway, the Westside RC Club field was/is a great place to fly.

Send me a PM at bobbyleejr@bellsouth.net so I will have your address when I have some questions that I need answers to.

Thanks.

Bobby (aka TDD)

Why spend the $$$, when you only fly once a year????

I have yet to change plugs. Been flying GS for 7 years, and not changed plugs. I have cleaned them, yes, but change them, no..........
