2 Rec

I am building a 42% and plan to run 2 receivers. Can I use a Y cable and control the on/off with one pin switch?

Why not. One switch--less pieces to fail. KISS approach.

That means that is you had a battery failure you would loose both receivers. For a 1 switch solution you should consider using the Fromeco Wolverine switch. Check it out it had a lot of advantages over standard switches. i have used the same 1 for 3 years w/o any problems its solid. It can isolate a circuit in the event of a battery failure, the second circuit continues to deliver power. That feature actually saved my 50 cc EF extra. A year ago when I had an in flight receiver pack that shorted out. If both batters were connected by a Y-harness, the second pack would have shorted out as well.

I run 2 Li-ions into the switch with deans plugs then 2 deans out to a JR Powersafe receiver.

The Wolverine is a great solution. If you have two receivers you should take advantage of the redundancy and have two separate switches and batteries (of course the Wolverine is two in one package, one cut out in the fuse).

Just curious, what receivers are you using?

Obviously you don't use the pin switches. If they fail, its in the ON position. Back to my original question--WILL IT WORK. Not an alternative method.

It should work with JR receivers but I only have experience w/ the powersafe ones.

What receiver are you using
