Carden Edition 89" Extra 300 Mid-Wing ARF by Hangar 9

Wow, Hangar 9 just dropped a bomb! Today, Horizon Hobby released the brand new Carden Edition 89" Extra 300 Mid-Wing ARF by Hangar 9. If there was ever a time this abbreviation applied, it is now: O.M.G! This plane looks KILLER!! I'm almost upset with Horizon for never allowing anyone to keep any money in their hobby fund! The Carden Extra 300 is known as one of the smoothest-flying airplanes in existence, and now you can own a 30% version in ARF form!

From Horizon:
New today from Hangar 9® the Carden Edition 89" Extra 300 Mid-Wing ARF! Carden Aircraft are legendary in the unlimited aerobatics realm. The Hangar 9 Carden Edition 89” Extra 300 Mid-Wing is a compact version of the renowned 126” Carden Extra with the first-class satisfaction of a Hangar 9 ARF. A collaborative breakthrough, now RC pilots that favor the 50cc – 60cc gas engine can have the thrill of flying a thoroughbred branded for uncompromised precision and hardcore 3D capability.

You get a highly prefabricated and lightweight airframe, but ruggedly constructed with a hybrid Carden/Hangar 9 method, then brilliantly finished in genuine UltraCote® coating. Fast-build features include an assembled fuel tank, installed hinges and control horns with the hinge lines sealed, just to name a few. Firewall is drilled and set to accept the DA-60cc gas engine and an optional electric motor installation kit is available separately. Also included are top quality, durable components like a fiberglass cowl, wheel pants, cuffs and lightweight aluminum landing gear.

The manual should be up on HH.com shortly. Should be some internal pics there. Construction is a blend of Carden and Hangar 9...best of both worlds. Has balsa sides balsa sheeted foam fuse top, bottom, stab/elev, fin/rudd and wings. Instead of the stick built trus structure inside the balsa fuse sides its more laser cut lite ply so the models are consistent, quality stays high. Its really pretty cool.
I'm very proud to have been able to work with Dennis on this one. He's a great friend and has a fantastic eye for model design.
