Ultra Light 55% Extra 260
I have been building up a kit for this over the last two months, and this afternoon, I finally got to work on the build for a couple hours, felt great. The weight of this motor box at this stage is very close to the weight my 40% Carden at the same stage of completion, the real difference is the choice of material made for this airframe.
The span will be 164", length, 144" power plant, DA 170cc. Bob |

Looks good. What type of material/wood and thickness are you using for the motor box structure and firewall? Dean

The material is 3/32 aircraft grade Bass plywood it is almost the weight of light ply, and has almost the trength of Birch ply, I have been using it for some time now, works great. Bob |
