Nothing big today, just glued in the wing phenolics so they can dry overnight. Going cut the servo wire slots and sheet the stabs tomorrow and with any luck sheet the wings on Sunday. I decided to cut the servo locations after sheeting, I've got an idea for a lasered out acrylic jig to cut the servo locations and control arm slot with one setup before cutting out the ailerons.

Forgot the camera at the shop all weekend, so thought I would add a few more pics. Got both the stabs sheeted and ready for trimming and capping. Decided to do one wing at a time to make sure I got good pressure on all the edges. Got a look at that one this morning and it is perfect. I'll glue up the other wing this afternoon.

Cut all the laser parts form y 300SC scratch build last night, so I'll start a thread on that later today. I'm uploading some video of laser cutting in case anyone wants to see that process that has not already.

OK, new build thread has been started!! This one will continue as I finish this project, but after I get the leading edge and trailing edges on these wings and stabs this guy is going to the corner until my scratch build is built to the same point. Then I'll finish them both at the same time. Feel free to subscribe to my scratch build thread here:

Sorry, I won't build a Carden......tried to go down that road and it did not work out for me. He did not want to sell me one because I did not have someone here to show me how to build it (my first kit purchase), saying "I don't think a Carden kit is right for you".

Then my wife did some legwork before Christmas and found a used / damaged Carden Edge that needed parts and a complete recover (bad bad scheme). He would not sell me parts because I mentioned a scratch build in this thread and said he does not sell parts to scratch builders.

Nope, done with them. Their great planes, don't get me wrong, I just don't want one and don't want to build one.

Gave me inspiration to step up my efforts on the scratch build from an 85-100cc bird to a lighter larger more powerful bird with lots more details to show what a second time builder can do.

OK, nuff of that......got skins taped and ready for poly glue out in the shop

Had something sorta like that with Carden as well. I too won't own/build one.

But then it is my money to do with how I want!

Sorry to hear about that. Would have never guessed this was your first kit. Everything looks awesome.
