$37.50 in all white . Xcalibur is an excellent flying foamie , and a well engineered kit.

Chuck,
I've flown two of the xcalibers and they are awsome. AXI2204-54 pheonix 10 and blue arrow 306 servos and your set.

Sweet wanted to use some equip I already have. So that AXI will be good? I thought they were saying to use them on the shockflyer size planes. What about batteries? Is a 3s 480mAh battery too much?

Re: Indoor Foamies

that will be fine you can use all different kinds for different performance. Use 2 s for more of a pattern feel and then a 3 for more freestyle flying. I actually now run a 2203 with a 2 s 300mah. but with a 2204 use either 2s 300 to 500 mah or a 3s 300 to 400 mah. Get the e-tec batteries from fancy foam you cant beat the price or quality. I fly the crap out of mine and I have about 20 of them and never had a bad one!

Now thats saying something right there! Is this the Chitty that burned his pants off in Memphis? Also Chitty3-d practice night I just ran over my batteries with the car?? They still work after that?
Jason

Re: Indoor Foamies

Do you think this would be a good setup?
AXI 2204/54
Jeti 8amp ESC
Bluearrow 3.6g servos
8x3.8?
tp 3s 480

Also how many servos? One for all alierons? And what props and receivers. I dont think I want to use my hitec feather it's glitchy.

Re: Indoor Foamies

Bro, the motor set up will be fine, but dump the little servos. Very poor performance from them in my experience. 8x3.8 will do very well with that motor/batt/esc combo.

As for a reciever, the Berg is hard to beat unless you're running Spectrum/Fasst.

Mike's foamies such as the Excalibur are great. We (myself, Mike Glass Models and Castle)finally got out the Kestrel/Thunderbird foamy at Toledo. Its a good kit and builds easy. Finishes out at about 7ozs Rtf with the gear you mentioned (what I designed it for). If you want to go monoplane, it would be a good option.

Re: Indoor Foamies

ok I have an O5S I can use. as for servos what do you recommend? and are you mainly using small 300-400 2S? would it be too much for 3s indoor?
