Wow. That parting volley was a nice touch. Too bad kev already decided not to honor his warranty. Justify it any way you like, kevin only cares about the all mighty dollar, and he's willing to lie and shine people on so long as it serves him. IF he sent the needed parts for my repair to Justin I'd be happlily posting about how my engine is fixed, and I would still be flying it. Instead, well, he didn't.

For the record, I was one of the happier JC users, and with 50 gallons through my 120 I'm probably one of the few that really liked it, despite it not being a powerhouse. It ran reliably and idled with the best of them. In all honesty, I wish I was able to keep it on my super cub. I hate changing stuff around! Waste of time and money!

Is it possible that one of Kevin's dealers has sunk below even his level?

Same old song same old dance, Copied from emails sent to me.

Would be nice if people were not still getting succored into buying this crap.

Hi Milton,

to tell the end of the JC story........

When I removed the original cylinder, I finally understood, what you meant with "open ports".

So hopefully I replaced the old type by a new one with closed ports. I did not try to safe the filigran gasket and worked with some red high-temperature silicone.

It also worked at my DLA 58, that had blown out the original rubbish after 25 liters fuel burned.......

Last friday with my JC60 on the test-stand, I had to realize, that absolutely nothing had changed.

Still a good running engine, but still without power!!!

The guy, selling this couple of cylinders has now 100 Euros more on his bank account.

I don`t believe, that he really could get out more power of his JC 120. And to be honest, don`t have any proof.

And I also don`t understand, what aerogas means by writing....."new closed port cylinders on the JC 60, raw power 7,2 hp at 7200rpm".....

best regards

The 60 and 120 use the same cylinders.

Milton

Hi Milton,

maybe you remember the guy from Germany with the JC 60 problems.....

I fly my machine now with a DLA58, after having lots of trouble with an italian Mintor 60.

The JC is still on my work-bench and looking fantastic.

Now I found a german pilot, who owns a set of new cylinders for the JC 120 evo. Another set he put on his own engine and got it running the way it should.

I could buy his new set for 100 Euros. And I would really like to, but I am not totally sure, if the cylinders for the 120cc also fit the 60cc.

I guess, you can answer my question easily.

greetings from Germany

He is finding out who makes the crap first. Could have saved a whole lot of time and headache with buying a well known engine with a good track record to begin with. I have learned saving money up front usually costs you more down the road.

You nailed it brother! Buy cheap, buy twice, or three times, spend as much as you would on one quality product (or more) and still have a useless POS at the end of the day.

Heck Yes
Buy Cheap and end up spending at least twice the price of a quality product - because eventually you'll either buy the quality product or just give up altogether.

I "experienced" the cheap road for a short while, genuinely believing that with proper care etc there was good value to be had. Fact was the only ones getting the value were the people who were supplying the scrap metal from their "factories" (mostly in China). Out of frustration, I contacted a few people whose opinions counted and they all pointed me in the direction of a couple of the top brands - I've never looked back since and won't consider buying anything less as a result. In fact I've sold a few of my planes recently and, without exception, all of the people who have purchased them have commented on how impressed they are with the way the engines perform and how they never expected them to be so much better than the junk they previously used.

Just because I can, I wanted to let you guys know Aerogas RC was just banned by the owner of Flying Circus for telling him to: "Take your website and stick it up your ass!!!! talk about a ****ing JOKE just like the members on your site!!" when he asked him to pay for advertising since he was spamming.

Buyers beware.

I kinder feel for him and anybody that has bought stock from JC with the lack of support from JC now that Hobby king has them in stock in the US.
