Looks like Tower can ship this out my way. Might get one and run a electric motor in it.

Hobbico was doing demos with this plane electrified at Watts Over Owatonna and I couldn't believe what it was capable of. It had the rimfire 30cc equivalent in it and it raged! I am waiting to see how the Hempel Extreme decathalon flies in comparison. Should be a tough choice.

Just checked. I won't be getting one now. $395 shipping for a $450 plane.

Just received notice from Tower Hobbies that they are now in stock. They are filling backorders and mine should be sent in approx four days.

This is good news . I will post my experiences with the Citabria when it arrives.

The current issue of Fly RC has Jon Barnes review, it should be easy to find the right one, the Citabria is the cover shot.

I got mine. It is very nicely packaged. I started to assemble. It will take a while until I can accumulate all the servo's etc. Here are a few pics to tide you over.

Nice job Nappy, looks really good. Hope mine will be 3/4 that nice. Great job on the cowl (I'm not looking forward to that). What engine are you using? I had a tough time getting the landing gear and strut mounts in. Old arthritic hands, otherwise it seems to be straight forward. This is my first large and gas airplane so I can't compare it to any others.
Got any tips that you learned? Also, is the throttle pushrod OK as described, (everything I read says not to use metal)?

DLE 35 RA. i didnt want to cut the side of the cowl for the dle 30. with 2.4 radios metal throttle pushrods are ok. there are ball links on the ends that are plastic anyway so now issues. i dont like the fit of most of the metal parts. had to ream alot of holes and make stuff fit. make sure to go slow and spend lots of time double checking everything and it will be nice looking when done. not much room for install for a big plane. as expected for a scale plane. its ready for a test run and fly this weekend. wil post more details and pics in the next day or two. hit me up with any questions

got the first and second flight in yesterday. flew better then expected. its fast and pretty agile. easy to fly. the flaps are very powerful so i have to tame them down some. ground handling is better then our sig clipped wing cub. going back out today for fine tuning and see what it can do.
