Help!
dle 30 requires starter

Dear friends I have dle 30 on my extra260..I have changed its carb before but I cant remember when I have done.. It's idle, transtitions and top rpms are good..not requiring adjustment..my problem is it requires starter every week for its first start..after first start with starter it s very good and it works very reliable..idle rpm is 1800-1900..my setup is below
1. fully synthetic oil 40:1 mixture castrol
2.NGK CM-6 spark plug with 0.025 inch plug gap.
3.Every flight day new gasoline-oil mixture
4.18x8 wooden xoar propeller.
5.Lipo battery seperate for ignition
6.new genereation RcExl ignition which works between 4.6-8.4V
7.Rcexl Kill switch.
8.TDC is set on 28 degrees..
I have tried opening low needle but idle crashed and not changed anything..I m planning to plug choke butterfly hole..Do you think anything else?changing diaphgram?
thank you very much..

Are you certain the choke is closing fully? Sometimes you think it's closed , but might not be quite all the way.

+1 on that. I see that from time to time as some people don't realize how important fully closing the choke is.

If the OP feels it necessary to close the hole in the choke, I would recommend soldering it shut then re-drilling a smaller hole through the solder. If the hole is fully closed, you can overchoke the engine leading to flooding which is a worse condition than under choking.

I'm in the same boat with my DLE 20. First start of the day has ALWAYS required a starter.

On the 30, plugging the choke butterfly hole should take care of it. That's all I had to do on mine.

Same problem on my smaller engines. I don't care anymore, just use starter.

If your engine takes a lot of cranking after a week, just try a shot of fuel into carb throat. See if that helps.
