Re: FG EXCLUSIVE: PRO FLOW 3-D CANNISTERS

looks interesting.

how does the high end power (rpms) compare between a da170/ks95 combo versus a da170/3dcan combo?

thanks

Re: FG EXCLUSIVE: PRO FLOW 3-D CANNISTERS

Hi guys I just got home from a long day of "Waiting for the fog to lift so we could fly" I'll try and answer some questions here.

IMO, these canisters would be perfect for both types of flying IMAC and 3D. When flying IMAC you don't need ANY distractions what so ever, so if the motor hesitates or dogs out a little and shifts your concentration if could cost you points. Also if you are flying both Precision and Freestyle you will be ready without having to retune.

Power, I got the exact same rpm on the ground as my KS-95 Canisters.

Mith, you have but to call me my friend...

I'd love to see some numbers, Pro Flow Cannisters vs stock mufflers. Stock mufflers in my opinion have always been great for 3-D with smooth transition.

Hi jd, Well what kind of numbers? The only numbers I can share are RPM differances. All that have transformed cowl muffler planes to the Pro Flow Canisters have seen almost the same exact gain of 300 RPM. As I previously mentioned, This figure might vary acording to prop selection and climate.

Thanks,

Well, here we go. Got my new Pro Flow Canisters installed in my Pilot 40% Extra 260 today. It's rainy and 30MPH winds out, so a perfect day to be in the basement getting this done.

Installation went perfect with no issues at all. Slipped out the KS95s, and slipped these in. Had to dremel just a tad more for the right stinger but hardly any at all.

Here are some pics, starting with the KS95s as they were installed with the 1" cross over. Then the mounting of the Pro Flow.

Thanks!, I guess I didn't read where yopu posted that. 300 rpm increase along with smooth throttle transition AND a great sound is definatly a +. I'll go back through and read things a bit better . Sounds interesting, Might have to give a pair a try

Blessings
