That ought'a work. That is a relatively high wingloading, but it will roll fast!!

I now have 5 flights on my MX-5! It flies GREAT!!!

It rolls REALLY fast(~500° per second)

I toned down the roll rate to about 360° per second, and it is much more fun to fly.

Thinking about doing VPP on it, does anyone know where there is a thread on the Mamo VPP throttle curves?

Thank you!

VPP probably isn't ideal for an airplane of this size. It's already at or slightly above the wingloading of our heaviest VPP models. The VPP unit will add significant weight on top of your current weight.

It could have lots of power, though!

I was thinking that I may make a slightly bigger plane to do VPP? I just have to keep the weight under 4.3-4.5 AUW.

Bigger would be the way to go, but you won't likely get the weight that low on a VPP plane. With a custom small motor, might lightest TVVPP plane was 5.0oz even with very minimal structure. They don't last long at that weight either due to the lack of reinforcement.

I agree,

I am in the process of building a new MX-5 that has a 32" span and, with a 4.3 AUW would have a ~2.41 wing loading!(lighter than a 5.2oz FF MX-2)

Free.

P.S. I think that I will lay off the VPP idea for now, maybe try one with a A10-9L later.

Tomas, out of curiosity... what foam is that?? The insides of the milling pockets look really strange compared to what I'm used to seeing with depron and gediplac...

Its just straight up depron, but He must have milled it with a drill press like I did when I first heard of milling haha. With the highspeed dremmel bit, on a cnc it turns out immaculate.
