This one lacks any shape or detail. Couldnt you have made it more shapely like the real one in perticular as viewed from the front. I would have expected more detail in the looks reflecting the full size version rather than the Lego look.
Still a good effort though.

Jason,

I am going to make sure I carry my own weight around here, but two guys can give the suck-fish more crap.

George,

Watch and learn from the masters!

Mike,

Don't make me really lay into you!

Bob,

This thread wouldn't be so out of control if you would quit slacking off so much!

Flew very well, he got a 7 min flight and a 5 min flight. Was just a shade tail heavy, but some relocation of some components will get it right. The Hacker 80 is "sick". Goes up like it had a
DA 85 on it. Good job Andy (finally)! Also Drew got all of his engine problems fixed with the new pickup, sounded and flew like a whole different engine. Good job Drew (finally)!

Thank you for your opinion, everyone is entitled to one, so here is mine. From your statement I take it that you have not built any popular giant scale aerobatic aircraft to see how it looks in this stage, have you? So with that in mind you are looking at an unfinished project without a cowling or canopy yet, so you could not possibly know what the finished airplane will look like untill I get it finished.

Stop sleeping in late and you would get more done lol. It's looking tottaly awsome so far. To Bob Stevens you have no clue of what this plane will look like much less what it will fly like. Bob has built the 40% 260 the 80% 260 that is not done yet and the 80% Studaker witch was amazing build. The 40% Extra260 fly's like a foamy! So when you step up and build something to what Bob has built then you can have your opinion till then sit back and learn something from a real building master.

I second that, how can you say that. I have see Bob's 40% carden 260 fly and it flies amazing and looks flawless. As my grandmother would say if you can't say anything nice DONT say anything thing at ALL.

Bob keep of the excellent work, I like those cored out rudder and elevators. One question, how do you determine were and were not too lighten and aircraft? For example on you elevators and rudder on your 55% 260 you are building

There is an old saying that the engineering staff used every day when I worked for NASA in the 80s. That saying was: Make the fittings big and engineer the hell out of the upholstery. What that means is everthing that is highly loaded, you make strong, like spars, longerons, landing gear structures, engine mounts, control horn structures, bond and glue lines. If you concentrate on these key areas for strength then everything else can be subject to weight loss. on my elevators and rudder if you notice in the locations of the control horns, there is a lot of structure in that area and I also left the trailing edges wide as well, these surfaces are fairly thick so when the covering goes on they will become very rigid as most all structures do when you have a thin substrate separated by the distance between.

I hope this helps.
