Show us your shop!

Hey guys/gals,

I recently started to "finish" my garage bit by bit. I got drywall up on the ceiling and tomorrow I'm going to start insulating and drywalling the walls. I want this to be a killer workshop and am looking to see what neat gadgets, setups and other neat options you guys have worked up in your garage/workshop/man cave/basement...you get the idea. Show us whatcha got!!

Looks like a great space! Seems to have plenty of room. The garage door will be a plus! I'd say fist thing is TV, fridge and some sexy posters!

Re: Show us your shop!

Nice shop pics. I just started enclosing my 10 x 20 carport. Not as much room as I'd like, but for under $1000, I can't complain. I got the outside wall done and 9 x 7 garage door installed. Just waiting for inspection of the framework(I hate living in the city) so I can finish up with drywall and paint. It's already nice to have a little room to work on things instead of dragging everything into the living room.

I hear ya, Rob. It's definitely going to be awesome as soon as I get the shop lights back up and my outlets in on the walls, I'm going for the insulation and drywall. Hopefully will have it done today!

Niceee!!!! Go for a HD LED tv. And a sweet sound system..

I've been working on my basement workshop. First thing I added was a workbench, so I have a place to put my woodies (or trash lol...). Now to knock out that far wall and enlarge it

Mike, however many outlets you currently have, double it if you can!! You always need more that you have (they are like clamps, never enough)!!!

Re: Show us your shop!

I am going to be re-vamping my basement (shop, laundry room, office) in the spring. I am still trying to find either a 42" or 48" steel door that dosen't look "industrial" and be reasonable in cost. after that is is a new subfloor and VCT flooring in the shop and a drop cieling. my basement is so cold this winter that I can't work down there. the concrete floor just makes it miserable. I am going to make a set of french doors so seperate the shop from the office and add a secondary circulation system to help keep the dust down from the CNC. My shop is 13'x35'.

Very nice Midwest. That's what I'm going for. A bright white shop. I doubt I can keep mine that neat either. Good job.
