got to maiden my fiji bottle. what an idea to use a water bottle and the gas stopper that comes with most tanks to make a sweet as$ inspection ready fuel system for the price of the water! OP deserves some kind of award for innovative technology!
BRAVO to the simplicity of this setup. NO LEAKS either! |

The biggest plus is the price. All you really have is the stopper, the lines, bulkhead fitting or fittings (if you use them), filter, and the water bottle. I think all total I am probably within ten to fifteen dollars because I already had some of the stuff. I did use Viton with a ceramic filter in the bottle and that has some cost. I just built one last night to go in my EF Extra 88" out of the larger Fiji bottle. Took about 30 minutes to setup and is so nice being able to see just how the lines are placed in the tank. |

ARRRRRGH!!
OK, so I used a PSP cap and fitting on my last plane project. A fuel tank from Du-Bro is like $3. A fitting set from PSP is $30. Do you see a problem there?? I tried to use a Du-Bro tank this time, because I had one. I just threw it against the wall, because I stripped the screw out. There is nothing as good as a PSP cap fitting!!!!!! It's completely worth the money....... I should of just gone ahead and used one the first time. What was I thinking? |

A wooden stack for a DA 60 is 20 bucks, a Blazing Star aliminum stack is $70.00 do you see a problem there??? Nope, not me, my wood stack compressed. My Blazing Star stack is fantastic, lot's of access and it sure won't compress. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR |

Positively, I am not complaining!!! It's just like using a Tru-Turn Spinner, J&J Tailwheel, or any other super high quality item. Don't even try to save, just go ahead and get the good stuff! By the by, you have EXTREMELY good taste for that engine mount.... I use the same thing! |

Hi Is anyone willing to sell a water bottles already set up with the fittings and everything on them, ie lines installed and barbes soldered etc ? I would be willing to purchase one for a reasonible price if someone is interested I would like one about the same as Scott Gerber is using but in a 16 oz or a little bigger as this is the size of my current tank (30% Airframe). The reason I like this bottle is it similar to the tank I have now and I could use the same straps to mount it with I believe I have never seen that before, post 411 cjcylerc has 2 pickup lines also I seen somebody with 2 vent lines I believe ! Thansk for the help Scott |
