Guys,
So I have a question. I just maidened my new H9 Extra 300. I believe it is slightly nose heavy. (45 degree inverted up lines pull to the canopy) Anyway, today I stared playing with my first mix. Knife edge from right to left top facing me. The plane wants to tuck towards the gear. So I mixed about 5% rudder to elevator mix. Now it is dead on. My question is now when I fly left to right with opposite rudder the mix really throws off the plane and it really tucks hard. So how do you go about mixing so it is working both ways. Go easy on my this is my first big plane. I just downloaded the app btw. |

The built in Rudd>Ele mix I was using seemed to work in both directions. I'll double check it again tomorrow. I hope to get out and fly again. I'm using a DX18QQ. I'm reading through the Goldsmith trimming doc tonight. Thanks!

im not familiar with the dx 18 but there should be separate numbers and when you move the stick left it will highlight one of them that the one for your left mix and if you move the stick right the other one should be high lighted that's the one for your right mix

[QUOTE=BOSSIER_ROB;
It's best that if you're going to set up a mix, set it for all flight conditions. In other words, don't set your mix for high speed knife edge only, or it's going to tuck on you when you slow down and increase the angle of attack.[/QUOTE] I need help with this part. Never had an issue until setting up my newest plane. I have it trimmed for KE both ways, actually slow, medium and high speed is dead on. Problem I'm having is when I really get on the rudder. Like on KE loops and slow high angle KE passes. I'm using a DX8, so I have no option of multi point mixes. Is there anything I can do to fix it? I really appreciate any help. The plane is perfect except for this. |
