Hey guys. I realize the F3A forum is pretty dead but thought I'd post my latest project.

Sometimes. I usually end up flying at Livermore or Bayside though.

That's a great flying plane! I put a ton of flights on mine. Let us know what you think about it

First 15 flights have been great. Had a hard time getting it trimmed out and I think I need to adjust the wing incidence as well as the T Can. Was getting a bit of coupling on the tail and got most of it mixed out. Biggest issue is on upline rolls it will lose heading. Next flight I'll focus on aileron diff and see if that helps. Flew the Advanced sequence a couple times and felt pretty good overall

Hey Tony,
Wings and TCan are set at +.5. Thrust line is -2 down and 2 right by virtue of the mold. I haven't had to shim it.

I would have to put a gauge on the ailerons to see the differential. It's about 5% in my radio but that could be because of discrepancies in the servo setup and not a characteristic of the plane.

I do have a ele>rud mix that I am trying to tune out. I wish I could adjust the stab incidences independent of each other to try and rid any of the coupling.

Overall it flies sweet. Really my first pattern plane coming from many years of flying Carden kits. I plan on building an Element over the winter

This plane doesn't have a waterline to reference to I basically assume the motor is preset to have -2 down so I just reference the wings to +2.5 to get the positive .5. Then trim the tcan to match the wing. CG on the front of tcan and it's pretty good

Jon,

Just a reference the canopy base sits at -8 degrees so if you block the tail up to make that -8 you can get your true readings from that. Sounds like your liking the plane so far, I'm very happy with the G2 design from BJ Craft.
