I am on my 7th McFueler, absolutely the best ever. They have a cult like following among the SE IMAC crowd. Mark is a helluva nice guy as well.

For anybody going to Joe Nall stop by our booth, we will be sharing a booth with Smart-Fly again this year and if I can get them from Mark I should have some McFuelers available as well.

YOu can PM here on FG. His name is McFueler

I completely disagree. I have a similar one on my Extra... it's a PITA to get the dot out of the fixture... the McFueler is perfect... the threads/swivel really secures the fill line well, and looks good doing it. really easy to fuel the plane! the fuel dot that you linked to has issues where you may need pliers to remove it from the plane.

I've used a number of dots, and I can guarantee that you will not find a nicer fuel dot than the McFueler.

I agree with you Chris; the Mc Fueller is by far the best fuel dot I have ever messed with.

Similar is not the same.

Gem dots are very easy to use.

I have to agree with you Big John. I have been using these since Mark started the business a few years ago (I can recall at least 5 years) & I would NEVER think of using something else. I place mine at the top of my cowl & it looks really nice there. More than that though, is that it is a very functional piece of art.

The nipple is made on a swivel which prevents twisting when tightening the section into the base and I am able to pull the fuel line up so that no "puddle" of fuel will form after filling the tank. https://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/...&postcount=399

Mark also makes two sizes for the tips. If you use a large diameter fuel line he has one to fit.

Give Mark a call at 828-612-3726 You won't be disappointed.

The gem dot looks ok, but has the same design of my DA fuel dots... O-ring and snug fit to hold it. Looks good that it has something to grab. If lubed up with smoke oil could pop out and flap against your plane or even worse break a nail trying to fill it. I vote for Mark to become "Sir Mark" like the dyson guy as he has engineered a dot that covers design flays that some over look.

Hey Tony, ready for Nall?

Next video? What are you looking to see?
