I'm sure he's snaping pictures at the moment, or, lamenting in the failure to sell the Katana - again.

Those are the old H9 JR arms. A pain to get off but they work really well.

Those are H9 arms, available at Horizon. I already had them, otherwise I probably would have gotten the red SWB arms. I just ordered a couple 1-1/4" arms from H9 for the ailerons.

Sneak peak until I get a closer look after work. Ken, everything arrived in great shape - even though UPS did their best to beat up the outer box.

They are also available from PAU's website separately if you are looking for a hardware package for a 50cc plane.

Re: PAU 30% Sukhoi Su-26m Build and Fly

I took a few pics of the Sukhoi now that I have it unpacked. The first thing I noticed was that the fuselage felt pretty light, even with all its wrapping. I also noticed that there was very little wrinkling, and it had just spent a week in the back of a UPS truck driving from one coast to the other.

I unpacked the wings and was immediately introduced to the wing bags that come with the plane. The wing bags are a really nice touch, good quality and soft so as to protect the wings covering. There is even a pouch on the outside to store the carbon fiber wing tube. Oh yeah, it comes with carbon fiber wing and stab stubes as standard . The wings are a real treat, very nice fillets at the root and rounded off wing tips. The wing bags fit the wings like a glove, fillets and all.

All of the control surfaces except for the rudder are pre hinged and glued. I gave all of them a good tug and they are glued in solid. I will just have to attach the rudder, I'll probably use gorilla glue. The stabs also have the same rounded tips that the wings have.

Going back to the fuse and popping off the hatch I checked out the interior. Everything is laser cut and interlocking, and though light it is built strong. The firewall is attached with a tab/slot construction on all four sides with a fillet glued to the front on either side. Usually I would immediately pin the firewall (as Ryan did) but I honestly don't think this will require it and I'm going to see how it does without. The internal cannister tunnel is a nice feature also, which will accomodate most cannister style mufflers. I tried an old pefa can and an MTW, both fit without any problems (will get pictures of them later). At the back of the tunnel is a rectangular plywood doubler, so that when you trim the exit hole the resulting edges are nice and strong.

There is lots of room for electronics on the tray, including a slot for the throttle servo and the rudder servo. Further back are the side windows, one of my favorite features of this plane. Just like the full scale version, this model has small windows on the side just under the canopy - nice touch . The hatch itself is cool too. Molded out of one piece, there is no worrying about how to glue/screw the canopy to the hatch, which gives it a nice clean look. It slots into the front end of the fuse and is bolted in place with two bolts, which makes removing the hatch a snap.

The hardware pack is impressive, it comes with everything you need. Not only that, but it is all high quality dubro and hangar 9 hardware. A carbon fiber tail wheel is included, also very nice.

I've attached a bunch of pics for your viewing pleasure, as I start getting it together I will post more. I'm real excited to get her in the air!

You didn't waste any time in getting it together! The first time I put the wings on was at the field. Fit was perfect, as expected.
