It wasn't that long ago when all you could do was start the motor, tune it to maximum RPM, and let it fly until it ran out of gas. Sometimes it was around in circles, sometimes it was actually remote control. But, since it's all that you knew, it was good enough!
I wonder what our kids will be flying and what they'll say about the toys we fly today? |

If I'm playin', I'm playin' big.
Giant scale doesn't compare to general RC. Giant scale is awesome. I just was watching my old Zagi video and was laughing/cracking up. I sure wouldn't be doing that with my PAU Edge. |

Back in 1983 / 1984 when I first started flying rc this was my radio.
If I remember right, it was $400.00 - $450.00 Futaba FG series. |

Sounds like you are compensating for something.

GS like most of us are in is not a cheap hobby that is for sure. I can remember sitting there looking at my .90 size showtime saying this is the largest I am ever going. That thought got blow out the window the minute we pulled into a IMAC event. My eyes got as big as half dollars and I knew I had to have one.
Now looking back sometime I wish I stayed with the smaller planes because as we all know it typically hurts the wallet less if you mess one of them up lol. |

The old man has one of those radios laying around. I am going to send it in to radio south one of these days to get it updated for him. For some reason over the years rc equipment has come and gone in his collection but he has always held onto that one.
