Eq6 overheat/shutdown

Any issues with fanless Eq6 overheat and subsequent shutdown in 40+temps with very high humidity??Thanks.

Hi,
No. The MOSFET that controls the regulator will work to 175 degrees C. The other ICs will work to 85+ degrees C (they are guaranteed to 85 but work at high temps so the IC manufacturers don't have to test each one to make sure it makes the minimum). Our regulator will never just shut down, unlike some other regulators that use single chip regulator ICs that have builtin thermal protection. I use a hybrid regulator consisting of a controller IC and a MOSFET. The MOSFET connects directly to the heatsink, the controller IC is not thermally connected to the MOSFET.
