Just measured mine at 0.730" (18.54mm). I set mine up with a very close spinner backplate-to-cowl fit (about 1/8").

Earle,

I have had to let mine bleed also. Murry had more on his plate than he could do so work stopped there and I'm covered up with my business. Perhaps this fall I can get it going, it's pretty close now.

Where have most you guys been placing your batteries to get a good CG?

Also, I presume a good starting point for CG is on the wing-tube?

Thanks,
Jacob

the cg is on the wing tube, but this plane flies even better with it slightly more forward say 5mm.. mine balanced spot on with an MVVS116 and their canisters with my packs on the rc tray. when I ran the lighter DA120 I did have to add quite a bit of nose weight..

Hope this helps….

also guys double check the length of standoffs needed against the type of motor you're using and the distance between the firewall and spinner backplate with a 2mm gap… I will also add that you need an extra deg of right thrust..
