How do you like your EME 120? The funny thing is I was expecting the EME 60 to be heavier then the DA-50. I wanted a little nose wt that way I could remove my ignition battery from the motorbox and put in a tech aero ibec. I now wish I would of went with the EME 70. Then I could of made that happen. The advertized wt on all the EME components were dead on to what they advertise. Now the DA was heavier so I now know that I can trust what EME says the wt of there stuff is. If you go by what DA advertized there wt at the EME should of been 200 grams heavier. Oh well so far the motor sounds realy strong. It swings the 23X10 prop without any effort. That's what I'm using to break it in I have a 24X10 and a vess24B to try once it's ready. First flights with the EME 60 will be in about 8 hrs. I'm running my motor through the same header and canister that I had on the DA-50 it was a direct bolt up so why not. Plus I didn't have to add any mufler holes in the cowl.

Love it. Works great for about 10-15 gallons so far.

Hey Greg, 8 gr = 0.282192 oz LOL, thought you would have the yak out Sunday.

Hey Ron I know 8 grams is almost nothing. But I was expecting it to be heavier. I just came back from the field I put 6 flight on it today. The plane rips with this motor. It's like a new plane. It's swinging the 23X10 prop to 7250rpm on the ground. It now has unlimited vertical climbing power. It should be real good after a few more flights when I put the 24X10 on. I just need too mix up some more gas I used all that I had with me today.

70 gallons on the replacement crank and is now just starting to get some noise on the rod ends.
Have updated crank, new piston and a bowman ring going in it after it gets a little more noisy.
Has been a real great go to engine on my go to plane.

I only have about 2 hours on my latest 60 but it's running great. It pulls my 15lb profile around like there's nothing behind it. Was planning on getting EME 60 #6 for a new H9 Carden Extra on the way but a shiny new DA60 deal fell my way and it was a no brainer.

i have an Aeroplus Edge 540 60cc and i'm using a dle-55 that i already had from a previous airframe (and it is my first and unique gas engine). The dle55 runs great but it is a bit lacking in power on some circumstances (i can get 6950rpm on wood 23x8 at 200 meters altitude).
So i'm looking for a new engine and i can't decide between EME70 or EME60. I like better the 70 because in theory it will run smoother and with less vibes but i'm unsure from a point of view of power vs 60 single.

I see only one time an EME60 running and it was good. No other experience sinche in my field gas engine are not so popular in general.

So any advice would be great!

I would run the 60 in an aerobatics airframe. There are several around here in the aeroplus edge and they run awesome around the same rpm but on a 24/8 cf falcon prop. The 70 is a little to much weight for 3 d it will still preform well but a touch to heavy in my mind from what I've seen. The 60 is smooth.
