Hi guys... I am finishing it up this weekend and maybe maiden this coming month. I am sending off the parts to get painted this weekend. Anyway.... if there is enough enthusiasm for a build on this plane, I will do a complete build thread. I chose to do this kit by Aviation Design (aka Robert Godfrey) because I loved the simple designs and self jigging plane. This is a 35% Extra 260. With a DA 100/mtw cans and 1/2 tank of fuel (oops, forgot to empty) fully ready to fly minus the paint for the cowl and wheel pants= 24.4 lbs. I made 3D throws and surfaces for this bird. We'll see if there is enough interest. Thanks, Keith

I talked to robert about this. From the pics i've seen it looks great. I want his 40% 300 badly.

Absolutely do a build thread. I built the Hostedler(sp) 35% a few years ago. What a great build.

OK... I have 150 pics. This is my first kit, first covering job, first built period... I know I am going to take a beating on some parts of it.... but I learned a whole ton. I am a perfectionist, and when it does not come out perfect...Arrggg. That's why I need to build a few more. I will never beat Walt! Thanks

I voted the post and it ended up a no. What the heck . I'd love to see a Godfrey build. I haven't seen a Godfrey kit since the origional Laser probably 20 yr's ago. Would be a nice one to see done...Walt

There's a reason I do the building and Wayne does the posting. Computers and I have issues, and a few others I won't mention. I will enjoy your build thread and I'm sure its going to be a nice plane..Walt

Bring it on! No matter who is building what plane, I ALWAYS learn something when I watch other people build. And the Godfrey designs have always been mystical to me because I've never seen one of his kits. Get on it.
