Apparently, not everyone lives by that philosophy.

Had a 50cc Aerotech Yak that got busted with the nose section intact. The buddy at the time bought the same plane and wanted to see how routed the engine and the canister setup and wanted to borrow it. I lent the nose section with the DA50 attached, so he can do his DA50 the same way. Month goes by so I reminded him to return the engine and he says the work is not done yet. So, I wait couple of weeks and call him. He says, "Do you need it?" I said that is near new DA50 and I think I need it and he returns it.

After a while, I had a slightly busted 50sized Cessna (not sure if it was TF or GP) and the buddy at the timed wanted it. So, I gave it to him and said please returns the servos and the engine (cheap servos and cheap Magnum 4stroke). Month goes by and nothing so I remined him and he said he hasn't gotten to it yet. So, I let it slide another month and he still hasn't. After another month or so, I said have you dismantled the servos and the engine? He started getting angry for badgering him. I said just keep them as my parting gift.

Sounds to me that this is an open ended "borrow" and he just hasn't gotten a setup of his own yet

Actually had a dealing like this with a neighbor... ended up in court, and ruled in the neighbors favor, due to the agreement of "until I can get one of my own". I lost the court costs and the item... lesson learned...

Yep still has it, been about 10 years ago now. I, myself was confused at the ruling as well... how I didnt get my item, nor any cash for the item, was beyond my comprehension.

Well I sure wouldnt count on it working every time. That Judge always had strange ways of handling issues. She is no longer in the circuit around here anyways.

She handed down her ruling, in light of the fact that at the time of the exchange, we were neighbors and friends. So she felt she could not find any wrong doing, at the time of the exchange. That is the only time line of it, she would consider.

What if you cant trust your own mother, it could be worse, years back one of my friends mothers spent all of her money, this was 10 of thousands of dollars.

well eric did infact finally contacted me, and exsplained the situation. and he stated that he was sending it. so only a little time will tell

well I half to say ... Eric finally got in touch with me and after all this time I managed to talk him into sending my stuff back .... so he said it was his wife who packed up the house ( which mine would probally do the same lol) but any how at least I got it back thxs Eric
