Hey hey I found my camera when I got home from work. Here is my progress from the other night. Got the motor box assembled aside from the firewall and tank tray. I have to trim a little off the tray, I aparently cut in about 3/32 to wide so it didn't fit were it was supposed to. Both fuse haves are built and sheeted. I am going to glue the second half to the MB and former before I go to bed in a little bit. will post a pic of that tonight. also just wanted to see the hatch sitting on it.

Ok I lied I'm going to post more pics now instead of tonight. Yep Pete it is def starting to look like something, not quite sure what it is looking like but it is something. HAHA. I think I'm going to get all the framework done up front then work my way back where I have to pull it together. I will say again thanks for the great plans.

Not sure if thats only a dry fit in the latest batch of pics but before you set the wing phenolic tube in place. Use the wing tube as a ref guide for correct angle and level height. You prolly already knew that but I figured best to say. How you do it us up to you. I usually flip the fuse over on its hatch once the fuse has been completed with the exception of the turtle deck, check its square to the table and slide the wing tube in so its equal lengths on both sides. Then I use a measuring tape from the tube ends to the fuse end where the rudder goes and take height measurements from the table to the tube so I know its level. Then I glue. Same system for the stab tube.

ok glue is dry its unclamped, just wanted to see it standing up. now on the the up and lower stringers, but wait I have another project to get done first to make my life easier when cutting the grass. Little bit of welding and grinding then painting and mounting. Oh yea and sleep and work and the wife will prolly come up with something. Karl now I see why you say 15 min at a time.

not much progress made in the past couple of days, just been crazy around the house. started on the cross bracing in the front half of the fuse. The string you see is where I realized the fuse was about 1/16 to 1/8 out of square. Just used 2 pieces of string with a tyywrap in between to make the adjustments need to get her straight. Once I get all my cross braces in in the front half I will remove it as I'm pretty sure it will hold straight then. If anybody has any opinions on this it would be great as this was the only method i could think of. Also Rob or Pete I feel like I remember seeing on the plans about using aluminum angle inside the fuse around the landing gear area. I don't seem to see it anymore or maybe I was just imagining it but if it was there what size angle should I use?

Ok here are a few more. Got all my gussets cut and some installed. The last to pics are my gussets that go over the splices in the 3/8" square longerons. I realize I'm probably going overboard with the gussets, adding more than what is on the plans but I want to make sure it is strong. As my building skills and confidence improve on future planes I will start building lighter.
