EQ6 - No fiberoptic light from fiber optic transmitter

Hi!

I am just about to give this one up. My EQ6 is set up to my JR 12X. The ignition cutoff is assigned to the gear channel. I can see from the status LED that setup is OK (on/off when i toggle the switch). BUT: There is no light coming from the fiberoptic transmitter. ATV is set to 150%. What have i done wrong here? Any answer is much appreciated

I checked my ignition switch (pin&flag) and it was broken. But shouldn`t there be light in the fiberoptic cable coming from the EQ6 when the status LED on the fiberoptic transmitter is on? Or is that because of the broken switch? I also checked the cable with my flashlight - it is OK. I will replace the switch and try again tomorrow. I`ll also check the ignition. If that does not work i`ll send a mail to Bob Richy .

if you unplug the switch it should turn on the system. it is a failsafe switch.

Re: EQ6 - No fiberoptic light from fiber optic transmitter

Hi,
The light from the fiber-optic transmitter is NOT visible. It is infrared and outside the human perception. I have never seen a bad transmitter on an Eq6. My guess is the fiber-optic cable is improperly prepared or some other wiring issue is present. Please let us know how we can help further.

Re: EQ6 - No fiberoptic light from fiber optic transmitter

I don`t know what has happened, but i must have made some kind of mistake when wiring. Both the ignition switch and the fiberoptic reciever does not work. They are replaced now and all is OK. Still, i always like to find out what went wrong.. Maybe i powered the system up with unregulated battery (2 cell A123), and fried something? That could have happened

Thanks for all answers
