Sensei:
Your hands look so small inside that cowling, could easily be mistaken for a fullsize
I'm glued to my computer regarding this project, learning more each time. Wish I lived in the US, so I could take a trip and see for myself what you are doing.

Keep up the good work, sir.

I'd be willing to take the first Aerotech Sensei 40% Su-26

As always SweetPea, we are both still waiting on a great Su-26... No one is hearing our wants! and I'd take #2

Yeah, those pictures of Bob's arm inside the cowling mold really do give an idea of the scale of this thing... Simply amazing.

Hello Steve,

I am using 8711s, 3 on each aileron, 3 on the rudder, and 2 on each elevator. I am going to run 5" wheels on mine.

Re: Ultra Light 55% Extra 260

Bob,

What size prop do think will be needed on this?

From looking at the weight you are expecting, this could be e-powered with a Plettenberg Predator 37. I use one in my 126" Slick, and I get more or less DA-200 performance with it.

The problem is prop size. I am running a 3 blade 28.5x12 at 6900 RPM, and it would take a lower kV version of this motor to run a larger prop, but I am sure that could be done.

An electric setup would be interesting. What batteries would you need for a set up that would be on a plane like this? Mah? Cell count? aprox flight times?

Okay, without tipping my hand too much here and without hi jacking Bob's thread.....I'll bite. With Bob's permission I have taken some of the knowledge that I've gleaned from his builds and our discussions/work together and designed the second edition to the Aerotech Hyper-Lite Series (Bob's 55% being the first of course).

Currently the prototype fuse is framed and I'm pushing as hard as I can to get this flown before too much snow flies here in Iowa.

I do not want to say much more then the following until I'm confident my goals will be met:

Length: 104" w/o spinner
Span: 119"
Target Weight: 28 lbs (hopefully less)
Power: Piped 85 or 100 on standard mufflers (I have not decided yet)

Now, back to your previously schedule Sensei BAD ASS build thread
