I assume you are referring to my comment about using Fromeco Relions. Yes the are the same voltage. The only difference would be the "C" rating of the batteries. Lipo's can have higher "C" ratings if you buy good quality ones

Phil
Just so you know I quit flying my Helis that use Lipos at 3.8 volts per cell. I do this as this is the storage rating for Lipos. I believe you can fly them until 3.4 per cell but I never do. I store all my lipos at this voltage all the time when they are not charged up. It makes them last quite a bit longer. Sorry about the confusion on the last post as its been a long morning already.

That is why I went to the 3S setup, as long as there is some useful juice in the batts, it will be consistent at 7 to 8.5 v.

There is quite a bit of difference of speed and torque between 7.5 and 8.5 I can assure you.

I went to the 2S High Voltage set-up to rid myself of regs. I don't want to put them back in my system.

I used a 2S setup for a few years. and it is fine as long as you don't let the batts get down. I'm just lazy and only want to charge this thing at the beginning of the day and put gas in it.

You don't have to put regulators in, but the user should be aware of the pros and cons of it. That has been my point all along.
