If you go with the cannister you will have to notch the firewall just a bit.

So here's a question for you guys; What length servo arms should I use on this? Was thinking 1" for the Ail & elev and 3" double for the rudder?

Well it finally arrived! This thing is amazing.

My next question is regarding the horizontal stab; am I to cut the wood so it slides into the fuse from the back?

Thanks. I did reference that thread and figured it out.
I'm in a holding pattern waiting on everything else to arrive.

Man do I hate playing the waiting game. I ordered everything except the tank on the same day. Only items that have been delivered is the airframe & tank. So far all I've done is cut out all the spots on the fuse and put the tank so I can mentally layout the electronics.

I plan to put the tank on the CG so flight characteristics won't change during flight. I am kinda wishing I went with the 32oz tank rather than the 16oz. I know on my DLE20 I can get 2 12min flights on a 10oz tank but I don't know how thirsty the PTE36 is.

Lastly, finding the servo and wing strut holes on the wing is proofing to be a bitch. This covering is so dark & tight I can't feel them.

I'm guessing around 68" based on other 1/4 scale cubs.

It looks great. Now I just need to find a pilot & make up a seat for him. It won't be a full cockpit but will look good on low & slow fly-by's.

The 36 is a lot of motor for a 1/4 scale cub----they fly very well on a 20cc motor including float flying. Matt is correct----he has done a bunch of Bill Hempel planes and does know his way around them.

Who is Matt? And Bill designed this to fly with a 50cc. I have a 36 in my clipped wing and its not over powered.

Matt Komro is from Wisconsin and has done several of Bill's large planes and knows his way around them. A 1/4 scale cub with a 105" wing will fly well with a 20cc motor, I have a Aeoworks C Cub 110" wing and it was over powered with a 50 as it was designed for----it will fly well with a 30cc motor. I guess I have too much flight time in full scale cubs and super cubs to fly anything but scale with the cubs but if you want to hover and all that 3-D stuff then have at it------my comment said that you do not need a big motor to make the plane perform especially scale. I have 5 cubs-----all of different sizes from a 68" electric up to the BH 40% super cub on floats so I do know a thing or 2 about Cubs. Now tell us: who are you????
