Joe Nall 2011 - QuiQue Somenzini Makes a Heartfelt Speech

I have dealt with many people in this hobby! All of them awesome, but Quique is one of the most OPEN minded and most humble guys among my friends! If you ever wonder why people that work with Quique seem to love him and are loyal to him is for those two reasons!

Flying in competition or not, you are one of the most creative guys that we have in this hobby who knows how to design a plane! Thank you for all you have been doing for this hobby my friend!

He's a great guy. I have pm and e-mailed him many times . And i was a fan of his planes

So what is QuiQue going to be doing?

I think Quique is just saying he is going to focus more on his design skills. It takes A LOT of effort to stay at the level of flying proficiency he's maintained over the years, and I think maybe he's just growing weary of that effort, and wants to maybe enjoy things a bit more with less pressure.

I've known Quique for many years, and everything said about him here is 100% true. He's humble, gracious, and DEEPLY devoted to his family, which I think is also likely taking up a lot more of his free time these days. He is without a doubt the example everyone at the very top of ANY sport should aspire to be like. His flying ability has always been exceptional, but it's WHO he is, not as he put it 'What he can do' that is MUCH more important in my opinion.

I feel very lucky to be able to call Quique my friend.

Both Seth and QuiQue are just simply admirable people with a true gift! Good luck to both...
