Aerotech Extra 300 Twin Builds - Now Complete
Kits #2 and #3 of the Aerotech 42% Extra 300’s are now complete and both have been flown. A build thread of these two planes can be found at https://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/fg42/12727-aerotech-42-twin-build.html . Kit #3 had its maiden flight yesterday and all went well. It flies and behaves very similar to Kit #2 which had its maiden flight about 6 weeks back. Both fly very stable at any speed and present very well. Lines are straight, rolls are axial, spin entries show a soft break, and snaps really do stop on command while holding their lines. Kit #2 is now trimmed and will serve as a primary IMAC plane while Kit #3 still needs trimming and will serve as a backup. Kit #1 has been sold.
Here are some pictures of both planes. Kit #2 has red on the wings/fuse and a single receiver setup. Kit #3 doesn’t have red and shows a two receiver setup. Dean |
