I have never had wrinkles in the painted area. I have had them elsewhere on the plane. It is 6 years old - lots of flying and abuse and no issues with the paint lifting or coming off.

I scuffed with a green scotchbrite pad.

I imagine Ultracote will also have to be scuffed for the paint to stick to.

Yes, unless you are doing some striping... like the barbed wire.

Hey guys I want to shot House of Colors clear with color metal flakes mixed in so I can do a full fake effect over monoKote as the base color. Should I use a flex agent? It will be shot over Monokote that is over balsa sheeted surfaces.

We did on the Mt Dew plane. Don't know if it was needed but he mixed it in just in case.

Each manufacturer will have a flex agent that you add in. I did not use one and my plane is 6 years old with no problems. Not sure what EF uses.

I wouldn't put too big of flake in it. It will be hard to make it smooth with the big flakes. Liquid pearl is a better option and it will be smoother meaning less coats and less weight. Flex add acually hardens over one to two months. It's basicaly used on plastic car parts so you can paint them then install without the paint cracking. If you have too much paint on a part it doesn't matter how much flex add you put in, the top coat won't be able to expand and contract the same as the substrait. Then you'll get crows feet or cracking in the topcoat.
