Hey Bob,

What is the lay-up schedule on the cowling and what was the weight when you pulled it out? It would be way cool for me to teach my builders the sandwich bagging technique but that would take too much time/expense.

Thanks, can wait to see the video of thi splane flying!!!

Hello Bill,

The layup was 1 ply of 1.5 oz, .125 core, 1ply 1.5 oz, and a 1 ply doubler of 6 oz in all solid ply areas.

The all up out of the tool was 1lb 9ozs.

Bob

Bob, are you using the Kavan 5" tires? I have mine on the 126" Slick, and it's by far, the lightest tires in this size range I've came across. That alone with the Ti axle I get from TBM, saves at least 6 oz or so.

Those wheels are Pilot-rc wheels I gave him. Alum hub and only weigh 4.29 oz per wheel. Very nice wheels.

Craven,
You could have me build it for you and when you get it, it will be a RTF (ready to fly).
I already have a couple to build for customers and will probably take on one more and that's it until spring or summer.
