That is such a nice shot. You have to look twice to see it is not the real thing.

They're the only ones that really look like the right sized tundra tires. 6" DuBros just ain't getting it done.

You flying at Cherry Creek? What setup do you have on the Cub?

Yeah, I fly at Cherry Creek. I have an ASP 1.60 four stroke twin on there spinning an 18x8 MA Classic, plenty of JR servos and a Spektrum receiver, lights (wired but not powered as of now- might put 'em on an aux switch or switched w/ flaps soon) and Airtop 200mm tires on DuBro Big Wheel hubs now. The pic is with the Airtop stock hubs, which don't quite look right. The DuBro hubs look even more real! I put the cockpit kit in and added some stuff like decals on clear sticker paper to mock up fuel gauges on the wing roots, throttle, fuel selector, dash switches, placards, etc. Looks pretty cool but doesn't add much unless I point it out to anyone, ha ha. I have a hard time landing this Super Cub with full flaps because it wants to slow down more than seems possible, yet it still flies and doesn't wobble or drop a wingtip. If I dial in full flaps I have to kick up the rpm to give it enough power to keep flying forward. Amazing airplane. Best flying airplane I've ever owned, and to think I was nervous before I maidened it... Since then it's all I think about flying!

Nice Super Cub logo!

Seriously though, I love how the cowl came out on yours.

I didn't have to cut a thing on the cowl to fit the ASP 1.60 in there like it was made for this airplane. I did drill a hole on the bottom for my fuel filler. I reinforced the inside of the cowl with a light ply disc that's epoxied in place to keep the cowl from cracking from repeated fuel fills.

I'll have to find some pics with the new hubs...

Is the throttle the same in the J-3 as the SuperCub? I have never been in a Super, but noticed these instruments at iflytailies if some of you all are scaling out their cockpit.

Mine was done with different materials, but it sure adds a subtle bit of realism to the cockpit.

Here's a quick video showing my 180mm Airtops and ElectroDynamics LED's, which would look really nice on the Beaver with the alternating pulse module.

Cheers

Has anyone tried or thought of using one if the Evo 33s? The one that looks like a glow motor with the walboro carb on the front? I bet that it will fit into the cowl with minimum cutting? I want to go gas or electric just not positive yet!
Frank.

I can picture it.

My Beaver flys fine with it, even with floats. If you want it to scram though, stick a Valley View 40 on it...
