Yea, it does suck that we are going to have a blowout-rainout this weekend. We will reschedule hopefully some time in mid July. We are working on it now.

Hopefully we will have excellent weather for the Green Mountain event

We will reschedule this event as soon as we find a suitable date.

Please advise your club members, and those who were planning to attend.

Again, we apologize but feel it is better to cancel now rather than to have you travel considerable distances and not be able to fly with us.

I don't think the radio had anything to do with it. The first plane had an exstension come parsially unplugged, this will make all kinds of weird stuff happen. Mostly servos will jump all over. Second one was an old reciver I belive just got too hot. With no cooling holes and mounted flat against the smartfly it had no air going around it. The first 6014's like this one did have some issues with heat if mounted like this or dirrectly over a pipe setup. Cut some slots in the back of the reciver and mount it on end and that won't happen again. I can see sending the raidio thou, for peace of mind. I would probly do the same.

Did you save your models on a card ? If so and your radio doesn't make it back we can load them on my 14 and you can use it.

Ok, I mentioned this before, and nobody cared. I will try again. On Tuesday, starting at 6:03pm, and continuing past sunset, there will be a transit of Venus. It will pass derectly between the Earth and Sun, becoming visible as a dark spot on the Sun. This will not happen again, during your life. If you take time out of your busy life to learn about such nonsense as ancient aliens, Mayan calendars, zombie apocalypse, deadly planetary alignments and horoscopes, you can give 10 whole seconds to view actual science. Previous transits allowed scientist to calculate the size of the sun, the distance of Earth from the sun, and other measurements. Transits are still used to further scientific research. On Tuesday, around 6:30, most of you have access to a welders mask, use it to just look at this phenomenon. The effort it took 17th century man, with no computers, calculators, sophisticated optics, not even a welders mask, to use his observance of this event, and his mind, to learn so much, is incredible.
