AMA Doc 706 does recommend spectators not be in the pits. Pit area, 45' behind runway safety line, spectators 65' behind runway safety line.

Sometimes the guys would park there planes close to the spectator line for people to get a closer look at and also would put them inside the building so people could enjoy looking at them. I have had kids at events without a marked line turning the props on my 100cc Yikes ! At big events like this one you don't always get to fly as much as you want so it is fun to talk to and answer questions from spectators. Are you going to have a PA set up this year ?

We'll deffinatly have tunes Not sure on an announcer yet. Our event has and will be for the pilots. Spectators are cool, but they are not the ones driving 100's of miles to fly and be with freinds. Our event is setup for the pilots to enjoy what we have to offer. The announcer is cool for the guests, but then how can we hear the music !!! I will say that is a huge plus of the building. being able to only asssemble your plane once, and have a huge dry space for storage if a rain shower does happen. We are luck to have this feild.

Translation = We couldn't find anyone to announce =
Just kidding Scott.
Being able to leave your plane set up for the whole weekend and being able to pull them in the building is one of the things I like to promote about this event. Even if the weather is a little spotty it's great because you just pull em in the building assembled. Then you BS with everyone about there cool plane until it passes.

I'm sorry to announce that due to the inclement weather forecast for our region this weekend we are going to CANCEL the Multi-Club Fly-In.

We will reschedule this event as soon as we find a suitable date.

Please advise your club members, and those who were planning to attend.

Again, we apologize but feel it is better to cancel now rather than to have you travel considerable distances and not be able to fly with us.
