You guys are stressing me out!!! I already bought eight 5645mg's. they're sitting on the bench waiting to be installed. $39.99 each.

Finally, I'm less stressed about the servos centering poorly than I am worried they will fail because of not enough torque. Ya, money is an issue. I've got one year to go to finish my BSN in nursing. I've already watched this plane sit for one summer and I really can't handle watching another short Montana season go by... Do you guys who know what your talking about think these servos will fail?

You need to be stressed out....

You come on here asking for advice even though you've already made your decision and the servos in question are sitting on your bench. If you're willing to possibly sacrifice your investment 'cause you cannot afford better servos, so be it.

Why can't you return what you've got and buy some decent analogs?

That's really a rhetorical question, do what you want.

If you got receipt and they're unopened trade em in for an exchange?

Otherwise use the servos on the ailerons (should be fine) and gang 2 on the rudder and buy 2 used 7955s for elevator.

What school do u attend btw?

JMHO.....
I stand corrected on them being programmable .... thanks for pointing that out.

I maintain their crummy performance though.

Where do you buy used servos?

Rodewald, allow me to give you a different perspective.
All the above is certainly good advice but....
It's your plane, you bought these servos, probably not the best servos but I think they will work ok for you. Just don't do a lot of full throttle snap rolls and high speed dives and keep an eye on the servo's gear train and I think you'll be fine.
Soon you'll be out of school with a job and you can upgrade servos. It would seem to be a reasonable plan to me.

...I like your perspective pamster. Although I agree with everyone's logic, it's true, I really want to get this thing in the air. No one has yet told me, "those just wont work."

I could fly my 40% planes with those, the only issue I would have to deal with would be I would not be able to do any real aerobatics. The entire purpose of your plane is to fly aerobatics and I guarantee after you get a few flights in you will probably push the envelope.

They will "work", but like stated before, you will not be able to do anything but basic flight and aerobatics. Your plane will fly with those just fine. If you intend on doing anything other than flying like a cub, it would be in your best interest to upgrade. Now would be a great time to upgrade if you can return those servos. You would be fine using them on the ailerons, and possibly elevators, but I would upgrade the rudder for sure. The surfaces on this plane are large and you run the risk of stripping the servo and crashing your plane. That is a good reason to go with better servos. So, it will fly your plane, but if you do aerobatics, you run the chance of loosing the entire plane.

Let him go guys, the next question will be "can I use a $5.00 NiMH battery because cost is an issue?" and he won't want to hear those answers either....

Why is it someone comes on here and asks for help he ends up getting abused for not jumping on some know-it-all's suggestion? Just let the guy listen to the suggestions and make up his mind. No need to be rude!

ran 5645's in my 30 cc ulti. was fine for the ailerons. with 4 of em i never noticed any problem. centering aint great, but it was close enuff i did not have to mess with the trim or notice any weird tendencies. They were not enuff for the tail feathers. especially the rudder. The elevator would blow back some also.....course it was single servo pull-pull. ulti rudders like a lot of torque. again....centering never seemed to be a problem on tail feathers either. once trimmed the surfaces stayed. This was running a 2300 a123 for power. the power and speed rating of the 5645 is, well......optimistic.... not a bad servo, just a bit small for your app. I ended up getting some 5945's and replacing em.
They will fly your plane . just keep a eye on em . as you get used to the plane you will start feeling it and decide to upgrade. my biggest issue with em on the ailerons was, they are slow.....built in expo.

BS!!!!!! there are half a billizion budget pilots out there that have stuffed these entry level digitals in everything from .90 size glow planes to full on 42% planes... been there seen that.. I have sold a freaking ton of these servo's to guys.. right here on FG.. and they put them in there planes and fly them.. but will talk down on the forum guys that actually say they use them openly... when a whole bunch of them have them in there planes.. I buy 10-15 planes a year and lots of the planes I get have 5645s in them
