Mine is nearing completion with the OS. I had to make a 1/2 inch exhaust spacer (nice to have access to CNC tools!) so the end of the Pitts muffler was not too close to the CF throttle pushrod. Do you think the spinner to cowl spacing is too much (about 4mm)?

The spinner could be a little closer to the cowling, but It all depends on how perfect you're trying to get it.
Cowl cut-outs are nice and neat.

Kenn, did you have to cut any room off the cowling for the hall sensor up front?

Do these planes normally run nose or tail heavy? With the OS I am using 0.5 inch "standoffs" but will go to 0.4, so I am thinking the OS engine will shift the CG rearward as compared to a DA50 or DLE 55.

It is a little heavier, the OS is 1.59 Kg and the DLE-55 is 1.47, I weighed them both. My point is the OS sits considerably rearward.

It may sit rearward but the weight is still there and it has a lengthened crank shaft. The weight is still as far forward as it can really get so it really shouldnt be to different. Think of it as like a balance beam u can have the same amount of weight on each end and im sure you could move one further in and it would still be balanced very well. It will be different but not by very much considering there is only a slight weight difference in motors.
