Aero works Yak1.20

Hello All.

I just purchased my first gasser. I want to install the DLE 30 , but here that it requires alot of mods. Is it better to go with the DLE 20cc instead. Any insight on this install would be appreciated..

Hi Frank,

The DLE 30 would probably be a bit much for that model. That's not to say if you really wanted to pair the two it would not work. I would go with the DLE 20.

Whenever you convert a plane that was designed for glow engines to gas, there will be a little work involved but mainly just figuring out where to put the ignition module, batteries, etc, in that particular plane. This is really a 30cc size plane if flown on gas. Just look at Aero Works' other offerings for 30cc gas and they are all about that size, give or take a little. I wouldn't want any smaller engine on my 73" Cap that is very similar in size to the Yak.
