2 stroke oil mixed 50:1 gasoline in a good running truck

After 3 filter changes and 3 tank cleaning and still no go.

This is what happens when you put oil in your gas. (0 min 55 sec)

Your car sensors are expecting it. That truck's sensors aren't.

Some say that they get rid of old lawn mower mix in cars in very very diluted (1000:1 or more) form.

But, if you put it in from the can, you are probably very low on gas in the tank.

There seems to be quite a few of these accidents on the net. Small amount in old carb vehicles should not have any problems.

I've disposed of old mixed fuel many times in a variety of newer vehicles. In all cases, I could never tell it was in there. Never a problem and I didn't expect one. Something strange is going on there like oil that was not compatible with the fuel and turned to what resembles cheese curd and plugged up the system. Or .... some other strange problem. I find it very hard to believe the tiny bit of oil in a gallon or so of 2 stroke fuel would harm any sensors in a modern vehicle. Even then, the only sensor that may show any effects would be the O2 sensor.

I'd hate to see what it does to the catalytic converter. That's where it would end up.

I'll be sure to tell him if I even run in to that poor guy. Oh wait, I think he said he has done that already.

I've disposed of last seasons Redline fuel mix in my old S10 before without a problem, but I do it on a pretty full tank.
