Question
EQ-10 and 7955 Jumping
I recently switched out a 922 powersafe rx for an EQ-10 and 921 rx and my rudder servos are now twitching. Very slight pressure would alleviate the twitching, but this past weekend I flew the plane and the rudder was jumping so bad the tail was wagging all over the place. Any ideas? Should I add the hitec signal boosters? Or is something else wrong?

Hi,
Definitely do not add signal boosters. They almost always make an issue worse than better. This kind of twitching is usually because the two servos are fighting each other in the deadband. I assume that when you had the PowerSafe you just "Y"d the servos? Now they are perfectly matched but since they are both near the deadband one will push the other and then the other will push back. You statement about the slight pressure stopping this shows this is the basic case. You might try just a click or 2 adjustment on one servo so they are not absolutely perfectly centered. Quote:

Just a quick update, I did as you said rrritchey and it cured the jitters on the rudder. I also found out what the real issue was...the extension was loose on the board. Once I pushed the extension back in, the 1"-2" jumps went away. I guess I will be using the hot glue trick to secure the extensions.
