FWIW my edge setup is da60, header and pro flow smooth pipe. Standard insides with batts (2x 2100 lipo) on a wooden tray just behind the first former (so on top of the front of the fuel tank). Exp tail plus a few tail repairs/strengthening mods (epoxy and carbon rods).
Flies pretty neutral. Perfect balance between precision and 3D.

Ooh and lightened tru turn spinner

Yeah, I'll install everything but the batteries and see where the CG is. I like my planes a little tail heavy anyways.

Well my Edge arrived today!

I had it delivered to the processing plant which is 1/4 mile down the road from my office since they're not super busy this time of year. They thought it was pretty cool so that calmed my fears of someone being put out. Granted I had that it's sometimes better to ask for forgiveness than permission in my mind.

Few minor imperfections. There was a small area about half the size of a finger nail on the cowling where the paint was coming off (I'll just put a small piece of clear glider hinge tape or covering over it), a small smudge on the inside of the canopy, and a little bit of paint over-run also on the canopy.

I'm not going to complain even though I know Extreme Flight wouldn't have a problem replacing the parts. I'm bound to scratch something during the build anyways.

I got started on the Edge today. I like to use blind nuts with lock nuts to help keep the engine bolts from backing out. The firewall isn't thick enough for the blind nuts so I cut some lite ply plates and glued them in. Not pictured is that I drilled the holes for the bolts and installed the blind nuts into the lite ply before gluing the plates to the firewall.
