im pretty certain the torque you mention and the hacker A30-14L are pretty much identical. On 3s 2100 20C and a 14x7 prop, awesome power and about 8 mins of duration.

Is the leading edge straight like an edge 540? Pics look like they are, but others seem like it has a slight taper.

Thanks alot, am thinking of getting this plane!!

The leading edge is not straight but sweept back a bit for inherent flight stability.
this is a part of the changes made from the real airplane to make it fly as good as it flys.

I am finishing mine and should be done soon and will post pics, I saw that plane at Toledo and fell in love with the fat fuse, I can't wait to get it flying.

That's the only way I do it, how about an A30 10XL with 2200 4 cell TP?

to be honest snap, you really dont need the extra power of the XL. If you have it lying about, go for it, but its unnecessary weight.

The 14L gives a great feel to the power, not over the top, but very smooth delivery right to the very end of the pack. After flying a 600w+ AJ extra the other day, ive decided there IS something called too much power! it becomes too twitchy with everything at the bottom of the stick.

As i said, if you got the motor lying about, stick it in and have a good laugh, if not, get the 14L

Ian, I am no expert when it comes to electric, I told Jas that I wanted the most bad ass power and I guess I got it, already have it so I will have to go with it, I made sure the motorbox is strong enough, thanks for the advice.

Re: New Zerogravity Mini Raven 49"

Hi Everyone,

Just like to make note that I am now starting to import the Mini Raven into the UK. At the moment, i haven't got them in stock, but they should be leaving china any day by air freight. Most are sold now, so if you are interested, send me an email at sales@absoluterc.co.uk and get your name down! Prices will be £110.00 for the kit only, and £220.00 for the kit, Hacker A30-14L, APCe 14x7 and a Hacker X40-pro ESC. Deals are fully customizable with the option of choosing a CC45 over the X40, a range of lipos, and a choise of how many props you would like. Please see my website for more info www.absoluterc.co.uk/catalog

Thanks,
Ian

Awesome! I see I'm discovering this pretty late, but it's always nice to see another Raven being made! I guess I need to buy some bigger batteries and find a US distributor! I've forwarded this thread on to Wayne Handley as well.

Actually, the Raven had a slightly swept leading edge when it was first flying, it wasn't until it was retrofitted with the Edge wing that it had a straight leading edge. . .the paint scheme used here is also a somewhat earlier version of the Raven scheme, so really, you don't even need to state that you modified the design. . .you just based it on the earlier configuration of the real one!

Oh and Randy, I have a 3-view drawing for you (though this is with the edge wing):
